Projects

It’s important to me to stay creative. When I was kid, I used our family video camera to make movies with my toys on VHS tapes. As I got older, I always found dabbling in new creative mediums to be rewarding.

Below are a few fun projects I’ve particularly enjoyed working on. They were produced for a variety of reasons, ranging from school project to hobbies. With each endeavor, I stumbled upon creative solutions to challenges that I still use in my work today. Enjoy!

All In Against Breast Cancer

All In Against Breast Cancer was a fundraiser I created and managed in October 2021. As an avid fan of poker myself, I was inspired by many of the top professionals using their tournament winnings for good causes. I was introduced to the game as a teenager through watching televised events with my mom, so I aimed to follow the lead of these players by using the game to support women’s health during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The video above was produced with my friend Nick Thelen. With his professional video equipment, we were able to capture the vision of this fundraiser. I edited the video with this footage and later published it across my personal social media channels to promote the fundraiser.

Live From the Internet

In college, I started an online publication covering Kentucky’s live music scene. I would scramble all over the Bluegrass taking photos, shooting videos, and blogging about the best shows I’d seen. Running the site was a wonderful crash course in web content management, refining my writing and editing along the way, teaching myself basics in photography and video production, and managing work submitted by contributors.

Transition 3, Podcast

t3pod

The Transition 3 Podcast is an NBA discussion highlighting questions and topics you won’t find on ESPN and TNT. This project was a great outlet for learning to edit audio on a deadline, all while discussing my favorite sports league with similarly crazed NBA fans.
